New Album for early 2020

The much promised new album began work this Autumn. I’m always working on new songs but couldn’t decide what to include on this album. I’ve tried to go for songs that would best showcase the great talents of the chaps in the band. Neil Bullock on Drums, Preben Raunsbjerg on Guitar and Richard Sadler on Bass. I have to say I think it’s very much on track. A real band album.

Once we’d managed to find dates when we were all available, we assembled at a studio on the banks of a river in Twickenham south west London run by a friend of ours Rob Millis.

Once we’d had a good discussion about biscuits, we sprung into action and started working on the drum sound and making ourselves at home. We used a great Ludwig kit which Neil augmented, and soon we were on our way!

Richard Sadler strapped on his ‘74 Precision, and before we knew it, things were shaping up nicely. We were hoping to walk out of there after a few days with great rhythm tracks and some keys and guitar too if possible. Preben was main engineer on the sessions and although nothing escaped his critical but kindly ears, it all seemed to go really well.

So it all looks like we’re in good shape - (music-wise obviously). Thanks to Rob for hosting us so brilliantly. The studio sounds really great!

Of course what starts with biscuits, often ends with curry, and this time was no exception.
