Chorlton blends the warmth of Americana and the grit of country blues with a sense of place rooted in Northern England. The record evokes smoky bars, late-night piano sessions, and the storytelling tradition of British roots music — with honest lyrics, textured arrangements, and soulful, piano-driven melodies.

Every Time It Rains is the first song on the album, a song about love and English weather. There’s a great rocker called 'Play It Loud’, as well as the beautiful acoustic ballad Red Guitar.

Chorlton captures the sound of northern soul through an Americana lens — stories of love, loss, and life under English skies. The album blends blues-driven piano, warm guitars, and heartfelt songwriting to create something both rootsy and reflective, grounded in real places and real emotion
